My name is Jimmy Strater. I have been video recording everything since video cameras first became affordable in the 1980′s. I started a video club in my high school in 1986 and started my own cable TV public access show, SKI TV. My passion for production has just grown since then and I have done freelance work for many, many clients over the years. Some of my most notable work has been with ESPN, Comcast Cable TV, Warren Miller Films and Werther’s Originals. In the summer of 2009, my daughter, then 10 years old, auditioned for a cub reporter position with the nationally syndicated morning show, The Daily Buzz. She got the gig and I got to produce several packages with her for national TV. In November of 2010 I created a weekly Theme Park and attractions news show for Orlando Attractions Magazine. The show quickly became a huge hit on their already popular attractions YouTube channel. In July of 2011 I left Orlando Attractions Magazine The Show to create another new show all about having fun in Florida. The new show, Funatics Tv, is in pre-production and will launch soon. Funatics TV is the most ambitious project I have ever created and I have recruited amazing collaborators from around the country. I believe that when we have a couple of episodes of Funatics TV in the can they will be ready for television.

With the new energy behind my productions I have brought all of my equipment up to current broadcast standard. I am now shooting everything in Full HD on Sony XD Cam and also on Canon HD SLR cameras. I am doing post-production with all the latest versions of top of the line tools including Avid Media Composer and Apple Final Cut Pro on both HP workstations and brand new tricked out Mac computers. If you are looking for a freelance video guy please consider me. Honestly I can do just about anything you can dream up. I might not be as fast as a big production facility but I can personally guarantee to pour my heart and soul into your project and deliver creative content we will both be proud of.
